Divisional Manager: Innovation Support and Protection – Companies and Intellectual Property Commission, PhD, LLB | CIPC
Mavis Nyatlo's current role entails overseeing the Innovation Support and Protection Division which entails overseeing the Management of the Patents and Designs Formalities Unit as well as the implementation of Patents and Designs Substantive Search and Examination (SSE) thus implementing the current Patent and Designs Legislations and Regulations thereof.
Holds a PhD from The Da Vinci Institute for Technology Management - Thesis was published into a book “A Framework for effective TTOs” with co-authors, Prof Roy Marcus and Dr Phillip Parsons. Other qualifications are Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Unisa); Honours and Masters’ Degrees in Management of Technology and Innovation (University of Pretoria); BTech Biomedical Technology (Technikon Pretoria); National Diploma in Biomedical Technology (Technikon Northern Transvaal).
